Sexing snakes in houston

Anyone know of a vet in the Houston area who would sex my snakes for cheap? Mine wants 50 bucks a pop, and I have 5 snakes...so I'd be looking at $250 (plus office visit) just to know their gender. I only have an educated guess as to what they are right now due to popping, but I'd like to know for sure.

My vet reconfirmed the sexes on all 6 of my snakes for the price of one office visit. Wish I could help you out; good luck finding a better vet

I cant help much, but why not learn how to sex them yourself? Depending on how your vet does it you could ask if they could teach or show you how? Possibly find someone near you or a reptile show that could?

That's what I want to do...trouble is I just don't know anyone around here that knows enough about snakes. I'd love to learn how to probe them but I don't feel comfortable doing it until I actually get someone to show me in person. I doubt the vet would show me, heck he'd be losing too much money. He's good with herps but I swear he thinks in dollar signs. Thankfully I haven't had much reason to see him.
