ok to freeze a rat I bought live?

Today I bought my bp a rat that I thought was appropriately sized. Once I got home and tried to feed my snake was scared so I fed him a smaller one. The bigger one I killed and threw in the freezer is this ok to feed again?

I would think as long as it did not sit out for a long period of time it would be safe. Basically as long as you killed it and immediatly put it in the freezer, then yes it would be safe.

I used to over buy when I was feeding live. What ever was left over, I would dispatch them myself, place them in a plastic baggy and freeze till I needed them. Just as long as Jay said, it did not sit out for too long after it was dead, toss it in the freezer (inside a plastic bag) and wait till next feeding
