Raul is right I have found out that the male stimulus of breeding and courting females helps females to develop large follicles. I would recommend breeding your male to your female every two and half weeks at least once to help ensure that she takes.
On the other hand I just got back from Vegas on Monday night and I checked my snakes and I had a female that was starting to lighten up and she looked real good. I checked my records and found that she hadn't been breed yet by any male. So I threw one in with her and bred her that night. I checked her today with the ultrasound and she has 28mm follicles so I looked out. She might be one of those females that you breed once and then they lay!
Shawn I am no expert but I would say that a female is building in the 24mm to 30mm stage. Usually you can visually tell when this is happening by just watching the female. When they start to lighten up you should have them bred at least once.

Good luck.

Yea, I've seen her locked up more than 5x then she started to build. I just looked at her and she looks miserable, So I assume she's gotta be close to ovulation!!!
No problem Shawn. If she looks miserable then she is getting real close and if you bred her five times it sounds like you got the job done. Good luck and have fun when the eggs come I hope that you have a incubator set up!
