Kaytee FortiDiet?

Has anyone used this before? I saw it at my local pet store and it resembles lab blocks, but they are a bit rounded in shape. I didn't get all of the ingredients but I know that I saw corn meal and beet pulp in it. I am going to Google the ingredients now; just wondering if anyone used this.

I used it on my rats for almost the whole time I have had my rats, just because I got that lab blocks later, and why wast them? Mazuri has ground corn, and beet pulp in it too, just fillers. They grew very fast on it, not fat at all. I found that they like lab blocks much better though! And it was kind of expensive.

I dont like the Kaytee brand, I think it's too high in protein.

So is Mazuri good to use? That's what I've been feeding my rodents.

I personally really like mazuri, I think it keeps everyone in top notch shape, I can get it locally and for a good price. I would prefer Harlan, as the main ingredients are not corn, rather wheat and such. But I have not seen any problems with my Mazuri and have some great momma's and babies.

And holy cow they grow fast! 60 grams average at 3 weeks, and over 100 grams at 4 weeks. This past week I had a male weigh in at 123 grams at 4 weeks old. I snapped a photo of him next to a 3 week old male and it's quite amazing.

I'd love to see that picture. I hope to get this rat rack project up and going once my tax return comes in. I need to get exact measurements of the tubs so I can get the right measurements for the frame and levels. I'm challenged when it comes to the construction of anything.
