Traveling on a plane w/ snakes

For anyone who has flown to one of the reptile shows and bought snakes, how do you get them home? I'm planning on buying a few new ball pythons at Daytona this year, so I'm just wondering how I'll get them home. I should be FedEx certified to ship before then, so I could ship them to myself, but do airlines let you box them up and put them with you luggage?
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

Most breeders will ship them after the show to you. so you don't have to travel with them

I usually have the breeder ship afterwards or find out if anyone bringing animals to the show lives near you will bringem back for you. I made good friends in Daytona last year to someone that lives 2 hours away from me and he brought some animals back for me

I was also wondering about this. I'll be driving down to Daytona and that is a 10+ hour drive. Would it be ok to bring them home with us in the car or would it be best to have the breeder ship?

Re: Traveling on a plane w/ snakes

Taking them in the car is almost identical to shipping when you think about it. The shipping, they would be transferred from vehicle to vehicle, where in your car, they would sit tight until you got home.
Just pack them correctly in your car, DON'T leave them in a hot or excessively cold car, and don't keep dragging them out to look at them more, and they'll ride just fine.
You are NOT allowed to take snakes on the planes. Not checked luggage, not carry-on. Unfortunately, you have to either ship, or carry via car.
    Hope this helps.

Got it. If I'm FedEx certified can I box them up and ship them to myself from FL on my account? That wouldn't be an issue would it?
