We had some folks bring in a little Yorkie tonight with parvo. They only bought the dog three days ago, so she had parvo when the breeder sold her. They couldn't afford to treat her, and were ready to euthanize her, but agreed to sign her over to me instead.
So....she's 11 weeks, and a bony 2.4lbs. Huge ears, tiny little paws.
It's too soon to tell if she'll survive, but she's going to get every chance there is. We're even bringing my dog in this morning to give her a blood transfusion for an extra boost. In her favor, she'd had two rounds of shots...but going against that is her incredibly small size and poor body condition.
Sooo...cross your fingers and toes for this kiddo if you please. She's going to need all the help she can get.
