    Gawd I hope not

No My het Pied female will be a year Old this month and she is like 700+ grams and still pound the food. Where as my het pied male on the other hand is an 05 and he is a real picky eater.

    Hope that helps

    Re: Any Truth To This?

I have 6 possible het pied females that hatched in 06 and they are all drop dead serious when it comes to feeding time. I fed them last night and barely escaped being nailed like 4 times. They get so wound up about feeding time that they literally leap up and out of their tubs when I pull them open to put the rat in (at other times all but one fiesty girl are all quite calm and nice). They eat live or f/t in any combination. When I feed them live I have to pull the tub open coming kind of from the bottom (so they don't hit me when they jet out) and hold the rat in one hand and a paper towel roll in the other hand. I use the paper towel roll to distract and guide them back into the tub while I am tossing the rat in with the other. It's quite a fun little game that I'm sure is going to be fun when they get to be 3000 grams.
