Re: het pied markers
I might be wrong but usually with a het there arn't many markers. If your buying from a credited breeder I doubt they are looking to rip you off. If its just some random dude then I would be a little leery seeing how they probably want more than $100, which is usually the asking price for 2 normals. Sometimes there are bp's called Ringers that ppl sell. Usually they come from WC shipments and look basically like normals but have subtle light bands that can, when bred out, produce Pieds.

Buy from a reputable breeder and you won't have to worry about markers.

What Robin said! Lol! Here's a picture of a Het Pied Marker on my Poss. Het Pied Male that I sold a while back:

Note the "lining" on the side of the belly.

I would make sure they have papers or something that proves their hets, but yes sometimes they have the lines on their bellies like LGL posted, but not always..

I'm not sure that 'ringers' have been proven at all; I think they're just random...

Oh, I missed this part - I've never heard that ringers produce pieds. Ringer is, as far as I'm aware, just a random anomoloy that some people find cool, but not an indication of anything genetic.
