Size of cage in regards to quantity of ball pythons

Hey guys so before the breeding season falls upon us I am planning to buy a female mojave and a male albino and already own a het for albino female. I am hoping to build a cage big enough to house the three of them in but small enough so that when seperated one could stll live in it alone. I'm looking at building my terrarium 48" long, 19" tall and 16" deep. If this sounds okay cool let me know. Also this will be my first time attempting to breed and icubate so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. By the way I live in the bay area of California so if anybody know of any groups that I could find help in these areas it would be great.

If your snakes are going to be sharing the cage just for the breeding season, it shouldn't need to be too large. I would think that a 36" x 24" x 12" cage should be fine if you are planning on housing them separately after the breeding season. The three foot cage wouldn't be too large for a single adult female to live in. A lot of cage manufacturers make this size cage if you ever think about purchasing one online. Most professional ball python breeders house their snakes individually and cycle males through females' tubs when they pair them up. This gives the male an opportunity to rest and is better for his overall well-being.

I think doing this is the least stressful option for the snakes and since breeders have shown that housing them seperately is successfull over and over and over...no need to re-invent the wheel...
