not really if they grow up together. One will be dominant and the other will no his place. You get into problems if you through a new, fertile male in with an established colony. You'll definately get some fighting.
Heh, surprisingly there is more squabbling going on in my FEMALE holding tub than with the males. They're all from the same litter, now separated by sex, but the littlest ones were given two extra days with their moms and were just added tonight. Lots of chasing, squeaking, and pinning by the girls, but the boys just seemed to accept it all.
But yes, the trouble comes if you try to introduce an outsider into the group. Only way to really do that is to put everyone into a different, totally clean enclosure and establish a new territory.

yea im trying to figure out a plan to start breeding rats. Just a few maybe 2 males and 3 females. just for a couple snakes ya know. But once one gets prego I dont want the males in the same cage as the females.
