Ball Python on meds, general questions.

My little dude is 3 months old and about 2 weeks after I got him from the breeder I noticed brown dry spots around his mouth. These spots grew worse and he grew a small lump under his chin(which I though could be a burried tick but it turned out thats not what it was) Anyway after getting a good look in his mouth I found small very red spots in his mouth. Well of course I took him to a herp vet around the corner from my house. He said he had an early case of mouth rot and he gave me medication that i have been injecting for 7 days now, every other day. His mouth looks much better already but I was a little concerned, the vet told me to continue the injections for 1 month, 15 shots in total. Is this too much? The dosage is .15 ml. I don't think hes underweight really but he is still very small.

I guess it would depend on the medication, but I'm sure the vet knows what he's doing. Better to be sure that the mouth rot is over even though the visible signs are getting better.
