    Hibernating????

My 8 month old GB kingsnake has been acting really weird. He hasn't shed for 5 months. Hes been eating, but for the first time, I offered him a mouse and he didn't eat it. he has eaten one mouse since. He's also started to hide under his water dish on the cold side. Do you think he's trying to hibernate? Also, when I got him out today, his pupils were really small, and they didn't get bigger.

Hmmmm... sorry for all the random info, i'm just kind of confused.

A snake that is kept as a pet, inside a house should not be able to get that cold to go in to "shut down" mode. What your temps and humidity in the snakes cage?

As for skipping a meal, I wouldn't worry about that. Snakes can go a very long time with out eating so one meal missed is nothing. As for the pupils, I've never seen any of my snakes pupils dilate, undulate. They just seem to stay how they were when I pulled that snake out. I wouldn't worry about it, since you dont hear of snakes having those kind of problems if there even is some kind of problem linked that that sort of thing with the eyes.
