My BP first shed, Tips please
I picked up my BP today and I noticed his scales were kind of like a sunburn, like kind of peeling a little bit.. also his eyes are cloudy which I know is a sign, wasn't like this yesterday though, any tips?

Re: My BP first shed, Tips please
He actually ate for the first time about 5 mins ago, dead of course
was a small fuzy, attacked it within 5 seconds of putting it in the feeding bin. tried eating it sideways then realized it wasn't working like that..

Re: My BP first shed, Tips please
I'm glad that he ate f/t for you dude. I know that he was fed live in the store...I told you they will eat just about anything if their temps and such are correct. For the shed just raise the humidity as Starmom said. All you have to do is mist the bedding and the sides of the tub. You don't want the bedding really wet, just give a good misting. You will want to leave him alone since he is in shed AND just ate. Glad to see he is doing well for you so far.

Re: My BP first shed, Tips please
First off when you see his eyes getting cloudy..add some extra humidity to his tank....his eyes will stay cloudy for a few days...then you'll notice that they clear back up....and basically go back to normal looking...then about 4 days later he'll shed *im comparing to my bp*.....my bp sometimes needs help with shedding just because it will come off in seperate peices....so what i do is run some warm water in the sink *he's still small enough heh* and basically give him a bath...he get nervous sometimes with the water so i try to help keep his head out of the water and then he does fine....but, because there heads also shed i take my finger and put some water on his head and also on his eyes....i've noticed that since i've been doin this bath thing with my snake evo his scales have become a little shinnier....oh and by the way dry him off when you're done with the bath just because you dont want his belly all wet when you put him back in his house!....alrighty well hopefully this helped some! Good luck!

Re: My BP first shed, Tips please
my male had issues with his first shed. i am calling lazy bachelor dude on it. he only peeled off the head lol. lazy jerk! i had to soak him and peel him like a banana! he isn't head or neck shy which made the process less bloody on my hands (haven't been bitten but i know my spider will usher me into that club.)
