Yeh, I only gave them the chicks when I couldnt get mice or rats. I think ive been lucky as theyve never refused a meal.
Yeah, thats the other Python hiding in the 2nd picture.
Their about 3ft now. Has anyone got a pic of a 5ft female? Ive only ever seen one once and it was spectacular!

how is your humidity with that huge water bowl? how come you keep them together? and i had never seen a bp eat a chick either....interesting, i would think chicks would be harder to come by than rats/mice. did they have any difficulty digesting that hard beak?

the first pic is nice.. i like the contrast between ball and grass.

Re: My first post. Heres my Pythons

The humiditys fine because its quite a good sized viv.
The chicks are really cheap, alot cheaper than the rats and mice.
The digestion was fine. The beak is actually alot softer than bone so it was no problem for them.
I keep them together because I only have that one viv for the Balls. But they get on fine (I feed them seperatly).

Wow have you ever had any issues with them refusing rodents?

Feeding fowl~ I'm wondering how their excretement changes? Is it runnier or smellier? I've heard that feeding fowl to boas can sometimes have this effect. Also, I'm wondering what the protein difference is (if any) between rats and chicks. Great looking snakes!

    The snakes are lovely.

Bit hesitant whenever I see them housed together though.

Same with feeding chicks, but at least you have a back up if you do not have rodents. Just be careful that they do not imprint on one or the other.

    Good luck with them.
