Heating Pad Question
Hey guys, just a quick question. I know what temps are reccomended, I was just curious as to if I were to place a thermometer on the bottom of my tank above the heating pad, what should it read? Basically, whats the temps at which a contact burn can happen? Im trying to calibrate things.

Re: Heating Pad Question
Well, it shouldent really be a fcator of "how hot untill it burs," but it should be more like "Ok, is it at 80/90 degrees and no lower/higher?" Heat pads can and WILL, without a doubt, get to beover 100-120degrees without a thermostat, so I would HIGHTLY recomend one, and I would say set it so that it gets no higher than like 93 degrees, but of course the closer to 90 the better. (assuming its the warm said- but same thing if its the cool side, just 84/80)

glass. Because thats what theyll be toughing. Even if you have bedding, they will move th bedding to touch the glass requardless of the tempature of the air in the cage. Mine do, and I see it alot with other peoples snakes, too.
