    what does the perfect feeder mouse look like?

    long hair or short hair? long or short body? fat or skinny? black? brown? white? mix? tell me what u think and why. trying to figure out what the perfect feeder looks like... As a fun breeding experiment, i will try to make a colony of them!

    i know this is mostly owners choice... strictly opinion... no right or wrong. just tell me what u think and why.

    Re: what does the perfect feeder mouse look like?

    I think it depends on the mouse.. both of my "breeder" mice are considered fancy. white with black markings, I dont think there is an ideal marking/body type i think its a mouse by mouse basis. trial and error. if your mouse gives you only 5 babies consecutivly then it isnt a *good* breeder mouse, does that make sense?

    Re: what does the perfect feeder mouse look like?

    Bright, alert eyes; clean nose and ears; clean, shiny fur; plump but not fat appearance. These are the key ingredients to a healthy, and therefore good, breeder/feeder mouse. As far as markings/colors, my two breeding trios are all 'fancy': black, black and white, two golden and two gold and white. Some people prefer using only white mice, but I wouldn't be able to give them their food related names then.

    What does the perfect feeder mouse look like? Whatever healthy mouse my snake will eat...Cleo's (who seems to only like live mice) winter fast is coming at SUCH a wonderful time as my mouse colony is exploding. =P

    well in my opinion.
    a perfect breeder mouse should be of any color but the weight specifications are the most important if i were to breed the perfect mouse i would be long body, a little on the fat side but by no means obese. i would also try to breed for the most weight on a mouse but still the least size

    edit===

    o yea and the litter size try to get it upwards maybe 8-12
