    Intro and Question

Hello I am new here. My name is Brandon and am excited to learn about Ball pythons. I have been searching the forum witch has been really helpful in learning about their care. I am in the process of setting up the tank for the snake as per the information I have found here as well as some articles I have read on another site. I plan on setting it up and making sure I can keep the temps and humidity stable before I get a snake.

I am wanting to now start researching the source of my first snake and I was wondering if anyone can suggest a breeder of regular ball pythons? I have no reputable pet store's near me that I know of so I have to order one. I live in southern Illinois near St.Louis so if anyone knows of a breeder that sells quality, healthy regular balls please help me out the closer they are to me the better Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I forgot to say just to be clear that I also would require they be captive bred and prefer they be feeding of frozen not live. Also if it is against the rules to publicly name a breeder or source please feel free to PM me I dont want to step on any toe's. thanks again.

    Brandon

Sounds like your off to a good start with doing research before make your purchase.. There are some very reputable breeders here on this forum if you look at the 8 ball python banner up at the top or the sdvertisements on the side. Good luck and welcome to the crew.

welcome to the site! it's a great place to get information! as far as breeders, there are alot of them here on the site. if there aren't any local to you, most are willing to ship. happy hunting!

    Re: Intro and Question

You have my respect. Getting everything setup and finding a good source of information seems to be disregarded a lot with snakes. i can't help you much with finding a breeder near you but... good luck

    Re: Intro and Question

Good job on getting everything set up first - you're on your way to a very rewarding keeping experience!

I purchased many of my normal females from Will Bird at http://www.ectotherms.net and Neil Golli who is a member here often has very nice normals available http://www.gollireptiles.com/shop/ - he doesn't have them all listed, so shoot him a PM here if you see him online, or use his contact feature on his site
