school Admin calls student
School Admin calls student. From what I had heard the school admin publicly posted his phone number. He stated if anyone has a problem with the school that they can call him.

Re: school Admin calls student
Okay I'm old fashioned, I'll state that first up so you know where my mind set is on this. For me it comes down to this...
#1 - none of my teenagers would get away with calling a school administrator to whine about a snow day, that's not their place and if they have a problem, they can bring it to me, I'll take it to the school board or PTA if it's reasonable - but phoning an adult who runs their school to whine then posting this on the internet would not cut it in our home.
#2 - he is the school administrator, not his wife and from what I heard on tv she lost her ever luvin mind - she should have kept her nose and her mouth of out what is not her business. If their phone is listed and she dislikes school calls, then this is a matter to discuss with her husband, not screech at some student.
It's a sad state of affairs when we adults act like willful children who can't hold their tongues, then are totally surprised when our children act like way. For me, there's wrong on both sides of this situation.
It should be noted he didn't call the student, his wife, who is NOT the school administrator did.

Re: school Admin calls student
The kid had a problem with the school, and called the admin. The admin never got to react it seems; his wife did that for him! I think that really, if the policy were that the admin stated, to call him if someone had a problem with school.. and the student did this.. no problemo in my opinion with that action.
The way that the wife reacted, it just seems like she was irate from being called and reacted. Was she not aware that the admin stated that it was OK for students to call his personal number? That is something that they can take-up in marriage counseling next week!
If the admin opened his line up to those complaining about school, that was his decision. Teens (and heck, adults. Even myself!) can be opinionated and have minds of their own. For the wife to leave the message stating that it was wrong of the kid to complain.. when it was invited by the admin to do so, is pretty trigger-happy IMO on her part!
The kid's posting of her comment on the internet really does not surprise me. But he should have thought about it. Once something's out there on the WWW, we can't go back and retract it usually. If the admin's wife can say something on someone's viocemail, maybe the kid thought that she should "share it with the rest of the class?" (or world.. lol.)
Both sides should move on and acknowledge that unthought-out, knee-jerk reactions are usually idiotic. But in this world, they'll probably both sue themselves, the admin, the school, the town board, the phone company, and me, for typing this post!
