    Anyone from Detroit?

I was watching Animal Cops Detroit and they mentioned that all reptiles are illegal in Detroit? Is that possible!?

    Re: Anyone from Detroit?

I was just watching that same episode. It was rather funny watching them try and grab that Burm, and be so scared of that Ball Python, talking like it was a rabid animal. Yes it is possible. I live very close to Detroit, and go there often to visit friends n such, as well as go to the casino. In the city limits of Detroit, it is illegal to own reptiles...as far as I know.

Wow, what a stupid law! Did you hear the vet say the burm can eat your dog or kid? How can a professional be so uneducated? We have such a long way to go sigh...

    Re: Anyone from Detroit?

Yeah, I was laughing through majority of it. Even the vet's information was incredibly outdated. Some professionals. The Burms can eat domesticated animals such as dogs, cats, sheep, etc. Even a small child...although very unlikely, unless they were put together (which would be incredibly idiotic...and whoever does that shouldn't have the privelage of owning them). What irritated me the most is when they said that the general public shouldn't be allowed to own these animals. Another uneducated statement. All we can do is help educate people about them, but some people are just stubborn....

    Re: Anyone from Detroit?

Maybe constrictors are illegal in the City of Detroit... I don't know, I don't live there... But Michigan itself is pretty relaxed.

I know Brian (BHB) is down there by Detroit, about 45 minutes away, and he has stated that the city his house is in has outlawed all constrictor snakes. Regardless of size. Luckily his facility is the town over. :/
