Loss of a beloved member of the family

I am so sad and confused right now. I went to wash and fill water bowls and found my het Ghost male dead. He (or any of the others) have shown no signs of being ill. Temps are spot on, he has been eating just fine- nothing at all to give me any clue as to why this happened.
This sucks, I am bawling my eyes out. Wondering what I did wrong, what could I have done to prevent it? I don't have anyone new in there, even my snakes from Adam are still in quarantine. I wash my hands religiously, I check temps every day, even with the Helix running. He was such a special boy, always the sweetheart. I am going to miss you Eros, you will forever be in my heart.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. I know how it is.. I am closer to my animals than I am to most people. When one of them leaves you.. it is tough. :::hugs:::

Re: Loss of a beloved member of the family

Thanks so much everyone ((())). I just wish I could figure out why. Unless the vet is willing to wait a week on payment for a necropsy, wonder is all I will be able to do. Between rent, car payment and a few other bills I just paid this week, I have no cash on hand like I usually do for emergencies. I wonder if my landlord will let me have the rent back since I paid it early???

so sorry for your loss. sometimes an animal will just die especially as you start to build a larger collection some of these really rare unusual stuff will pop up. It sounds like you take excellent care of your animals.

Last year I had a young adult albino die for no apparent reason. Unfortunately thing like that happen and they suck big time!

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.

I've had the same thing happen with a Blurry girl I had. Justin is right, sometimes it just happens. She is actually my avatar.
