Atlanta GA. Reptile and Exotic Animal Show

Has anyone attended this expo in the past or does anyone vend here. I am about five hours away and wonder if it would be worth my while to go or not. I am wanting to buy ball python normal females and co-dom morphs there. And also a few king, corn snakes. Do they have a expo forum for this show where the vendors discuss what they are bringing. Any information would be helpful. Thanks, tncorns...

I've not been to the Atlanta Repticon show. You could e-mail the Atlanta organizer, Cathy to ask her how many vendors they expect and how many will be ball python breeders. Her contact information should be on this site.

Ive attended Repticon's around here and I would not recommend driving 5 hours for one.

I went to the 2007 march repticon in fort myers and it was quite sad to say the least. But I did get to meet Kathy Love there so it was worth the trip. I was staying in orlando at the time so it wasn't that bad of a drive. I guess there were only 50 to 60 vendors at the fort myers show last year. Thanks for the tip.

generally speaking the repticon shows aren't that big (def. wouldn't drive 5 hours for one). they are okay if you happen to live close by or you are just starting out in herps and want to check things out, but other than that i tend to pass on going to or vending at them. unless you can contact vendors ahead of time so that you know they will have what you are looking for i'd skip it.

i went to one in.... July i think. I had a good time, Picked up supplies and f/t for dirt cheap. Not a lot of reptiles, but there was a lot of normal snakes with the majority normal ball pythons.
Good thing about the show was you can bring reptiles to show/sell/trade with vendors, might now recommend that seeing you have no clue what your reptiles might pick up, but it was great seeing all the reptiles people were carrying around. I'll be going anyways to see if i can get some adult normal females, but if your looking for a rare morph you've never seen in person, this isn't the show for you.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Pretty much exactly. I only went to the Fort Myers one because it was literally 1-2 blocks away. For 5 hours I'd take a rein check.

They let people bring outside animals in? Not good at all! Great way to spread disease.

yeah, you can carry around pretty much whatever you want out in the open, around your neck, etc. depending on the state that the show is in, vendors have to have vet certificates or exams preformed on there animals prior to the shows, but attendees can bring in anything. i'm not a fan of that at all.
