    NAIS-National Animal Identification System.

What do you think of this? For those of you without any sort of farming connection it probably hasn't come up much if at all.

It's 'suppose' to track certain animals to help prevent epidemics.

However many of us believe it's just an excuse to control yet another element of our lives.
Also, though it's supposedly 'voluntary' in some states experiences a hay shortage many horse and animal owners are finding that they are being forced to sign up if they want to get hay for their animals that has been brought in for the emergency.

I am including some links giving information on NAIS below, I obviously am on the anti NAIS side but there are plenty of sites out there for each side available for a more neutral approach.

Anti- NAIS here!! They can stay off my ranch or talk to my rifle. Period. I'm tired of government telling me what I can do with my life, my land and now this. Nope. Not happening. I'm too old to deal with this sludge. I'm old enough to sling it back.

What gets me is that they're trying to say it's for everyone's own good and the only good I see from it not for us.
