Your local Radio Shack also carries them.

    Re: temp gun

    I ordered mine from proexotics.com
It's the real small one, and I think I paid $15 for it. Works great

www.tempgun.com I think the cheapest they currently carry is $25.00 but I wouldn't be without mine. It's probably the one piece of equipment I use more then any other.

    Re: temp gun

My husband claims that many temp guns have margins of error of up to 5 degrees or more. Is that true? Is there one I should stay away from? One you recommend?

Also, can I use it to measure the temps in different spots in my Jungle Carpet Python's tub, e.g. the top, middle, and base of the climbing branch? Or does the spot need to be larger?

    Thanks!

They're DEFINITELY going to vary in accuracy. I'd be hesitant to go with the cheapest thing out there. I've had a RayTek Minitemp for a long time, and have found it to work very well.

You will be able to take multiple readings like you want.
