Is 3" Belly Heat Good Enough on Reptile Basic's Sweaterbo Rack?

I'm thinking about ordering a reptile basics sweater box rack, but was concerned that the 3" flexwatt they use for belly heat would only warm a very small area. I know the isis tubs sit off the floor a little, so I was thinking this might help with my concern. Could someone who owns one of these let me know how much of an area it heats and wether or not you've had any issues with them.

I own the 32qt Isis rack. I love it. The belly heat works perfect. I haven't noticed any problems. I personally love the rackand would buy another in a heartbeat.

I ordered that same rack a couple weeks ago. Good to know it's working out for you. Now I wish I wasn't so impatient...I've gotten used to receiving things overnight

I have two of the CB-70 racks and i love them, the heat is plenty, not only does it warm a good area of the bottom but if you open the drawer slightly and reach your hand in you can also feel that the air is warm.

My snakes are also alot calmer and have even better feeding responses in these racks, i think that the consistant, steady heat and secure feeling they get is the reason why.

    I looooove these racks.

It really comes down to how cold the room you're keeping the rack in is. If the average temp in your room is 68 degrees or lower you might run into problems getting your cool side to your desired temps.

I agree. I have 5 of the 32 qt Reptile basics racks, all with 3"
belly heat. My room is heated to 82 all year round. I get perfect 82/92 cool/hot spots in all the racks. I love these racks and I am buying a bunch of CB-70's soon.

I have a few of those racks from Rich at RBI and they work perfectly. If the room temps are low (like mine at night) just wrap the sides and back of the rack with foam or rigid insulation. These are great racks and I'll be buying another one as well as the little shoe box rack for the hatchlings!
A bonus ordering from Rich is the service you get from him. He's there to answer any questions or problems you're experiencing. He's really very terrific and no, he is not paying me to say these things!!!
