Chihuahua shipping
Does anyone know who and how to ship a dog. My wife wants to buy a Chihuahua that we found online, the seller will only ship to the closest major airport to us which is 300 miles away..in denver...and I don't have anyway to get there to pick it up (work wont let me off). Is there anyone that can ship or transport a dog on the last leg of this journey that anyone knows of??
Thanks!!

Re: Chihuahua shipping
Have you tried contacting a chihuahua rescue or chihuahua forum? I think you'd have a better chance of finding someone to help you there.

Not yet, thought there might be a chance of finding someone on here that knew about these things tho....of course I guess this is a place of snake knowledge...not dogs...lol everyone has been very helpful with my BP so did not think it would hurt to try...

Make arrangements with an airline that serves Grand Junction to forward it on to the airport there.

Even better, find a local breeder that you won't have to ship the dog. That way you can check on the health and temperament before you purchase one.

Re: Chihuahua shipping
Delta Dash will ship counter to counter, airport to airport. You may have to register but if you're lucky and are buying from a good breeder they already will be.
Call Delta Air Cargo in your area and ask them about Dash Service for dogs and see what they have to say. Sometimes you can fly and pick up a dog, especially a little one that can fly onboard with you, for less than regular shipping costs. You might want to check on that as well. That way you can check out the kennel you are buying from.
I agree with Jess. That one has all the hallmarks of a mill. A good breeder will guarentee health, have wormed the puppy at least once, and tell you what genetic defects the breed is prone to.
There are no toy or teacup chihuahuas, it's a sales pitch.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?
