    Question Question: Small Noises, Respiratory?

Hello all. Today I went and held my younger ball Python, Remedito. I hadn't handled him for a few days. He slightly hissed at me when I first picked him up, well, when I initially touched him at first, I think I just surprised him

But as I was handling him, it sounded like he was letting out little puffs of air out. Kind of like a hiss, but a LOT shorter and softer. A little less than a wheeze. He's never hissed when I've held him and he was acting completely normal... except for the sound.

I got concerned because he continued to do it, about everytime he breathed out, so I looked at his nostrils, checked his mouth, etc, but there was no excess fluid of the sort. Also, he kept adjusting his jaw and yawning. I know ball pythons can yawn for no reason, but he did it a few times. His mouth was slightly opened BEFORE he yawned, but not constantly.

The room I have him in is warm, about 82 degrees me thinks, and I keep his humidity around 50%. Does this sound like a respiratory infection? Should I change the temp or humidity? Please let me know if you have any advice or knowledge!

    Thanks for your help, guys

Your room is at 82? What is his cage temp? I wouldnt take a chance if I where you. Take him to the vet..

Cage temp is about the same, except for the warmer end.
And Yeah, I'm definitely going to take him to the vet, I was just looking for some advice or opinions as to how I can help him for now until I can get in (probably will only be a few days.), and to what it sounds like.

I have a heater in the room, and a little heat lamp on one side of his cage. The heater keeps it at a steady temp.

Oh, sorry. I have a digital thermometer outside and inside his tank.
