    Introducing...Ruger DUW

I picked him up tonight from our breeder.. Ruger is a late 07' male pastel. my first morph, here are some pics of him You will see shortly where his name came from also. His pattern is a bit busy but he has some awesome blushing. Im going to weigh him in a couple days once he settles in some.. I did catch him drinking

    Ruger & Cameron

Im pretty disapointed with how the photos came out.. hes much more vibrant in real life. Ill try again in a couple days with better light

Regardless if the photos are bad or not, he's still quite gorgeous!

    Re: Introducing...Ruger DUW

can anyone even tell hes a pastel? His eyes are lighter but the photo colors came out so "normal" looking...hes def. a pastel, just not as bright and yellow as some ive seen lately.perhaps he will look better as he gets older. there is a HUGE difference in color between cameron and ruger in real life

Ashley, yes, you can tell he's a pastel. Are his colors pretty orange? That's how it appears in the pictures.

When I chose Winston, I looked for the most faded head that I could and the least amount of orange as possible, since orange tends to really brown out as they mature.

It may be your pictures, but it does appear that he's already got some brown to him.

    Congrats on your new boy!

Congrats!!!! Pastels are hard to get a color representation from... too much flash, they are washed out... and not enough... well you know! He's a QT Love the marking too....

Side question, are you not quarantining him!?!?!

    Re: Introducing...Ruger DUW

He came from the same breeder Cameron did. He breeds all his own snakes and does not bring any in from other sources. So did I QT him? No, I suppose not technically but at the same time I also know exactly where he came from. To be honest, I hadnt even given it a second thought

He is more orange than yellow. I hope he doesnt brown out too much His head was more faded than the other one we were shown (he had two male pastels left) Ill have to take some photos of just the top of his head so you can see.

Jen- We were thinking about calling him...Richard, if you catch my drift but I liked Ruger way more.

:edit: i didnt notice you had a Ruger!!!! oops sorry! I try not to repeat names. Not only a ruger, but a ruger pastel too i suppose take it as a compliment lol, its a great name
