    Why are most boas tongues black, and most pythons tongues pink?

    grass is green becuase of chlorophyll, and dirt is just small particles of mineral deposits, that make up the general color brown....there is an answer for everything

    It may just be my snake.... But my jcp's tongue is actually black not pink... Along with the insides of her mouth....

    Just depends on if the tongue has melanin in it or not. As was said.. jungle carpet pythons have black tongues.. it really depends on the species and morph.

    Genetic mutations over years caused it to turn black since pythons...
    umm stick them out more thus being hit more by photons...
