    Picky breeder?

I've placed my het pied female and het pied male together since Nov 1st. I've only seen one lock up between the two of them. She doesn't seem to want anything to do with him. He tries and tries but she just ignores all of his advances and moves to the other side of the tub. He seems to get fed up with her moving away from him and kind of seems like he just "gives up".

When I see him by himself on one side of the tub for more then a day, I put him back in with my other breeding normal female. Those two go at it and are locked up in no time when I place them back together. I've seen at least 7 locks between those two.

Any idea why my het pied girl is being a prude? Any ideas or tips to get her to get in the mood?

If she doesn't go this year, that is fine... but I did buy her as an adult this past winter so I could breed her this breeding season. So it's a bit of a bummer knowing my het males parts seem to work fine, it's just her who doesn't want any part of it. Kind of wondering now if maybe she's a non breeder even though I was told she "liked the boys" and had produced before.

I don't mind at all if I get 50% het pied. I'll be happy to prove them out in a few years. I was just kind of really hoping to see a little pied this year. But now I'm having my doubts that's going to happen.
