Am I Just Lucky?

I HAVE HAD MY BP FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS NOW. I READ THROUGH THE MAJORITY OF THE THREADS POSTED ON BP-NET.

SINCE I'VE HAD SNAK-EE:

HE DOESN'T CURL UP INTO A BALL WHEN HANDLED

HE DOESN'T SOAK IN HIS WATER DISH

HE HAS NEVER REFUSED A LIVE MEAL

HE HAS YET TO CONTRACT MITES[/B]

AM I LUCKY OR WILL IT EVENTUALLY CATCH UP WITH ME?

Well it is not luck, you probably got a snake that was well adjusted and came from someplace that took good care of there snakes. All but one of my bp came from a local breeder i found in my area, they are all the same as yours. So it is my belief that how they were kept before we get them makes a big difference. On a side note the one that i did order from a well known breeder, nasty lil sucker!! I am sure i will get him to calm down before he gets to big, but nothing like my well cared for local babies! Congrats on the awesome snake!

Thanks. He was actually bought from Petco. I don't know what possed me to go into Petco that day, I never owend a snake before this. I saw about 5 or 6 in what looked to be a small enclosure. What got me was that they were selling these for $29.99, I couldn't pass this up. Since than I have fell in love with this guy. And am currently paying for a Spider from 8Ball and Adam.

one thing no one seems to warn about is that they are addictive. thats how a well cared for bp usually acts, you just got very lucky on the find, congrats on the awesome snake.

My First Ball, Simba she was bought from Petco too. I was just there getting things for my reptiles, saw that there was one left, for $29.99. With Simba, she never curled up in a ball either in my hand....
this one I have now, George, he is still adjusting to us, bought him from a person who breeds them in Florida.... well I didn't buy him, he was given to me as a Christmas Present.....
