Going to breed cornsnake
Zim is an '06 and I was wanting to breed her (probed female) when she is old/big enough. I was wondering what the appropriate size is for a breedable female. She is nearing 200g. Zim is a snow corn and I have no clue about corn snake morphs or genetics. Is there a site that would tell me the results of certain pairings, especially for snows.
And does anyone know of any sites on cornsnake breeding. I will be looking myself, but anything anyone wants to input would be nice.

Well when i bred my females they were as round as your thumb.I never weighed them so cant help you on the exact weight .If i remember right they were at least 2yrs old(never knew exact ages). The snow female i had laid a unexpected clutch when she was just 18 months old.I never knew they could bred at such a young age and had her with my amel male(i know now that was a ooops ).Now the genetic stuff is mind boggling to me so cant help on that part

Re: Going to breed cornsnake
The general breeding rule that most breeders I know follow by are:
3 years 300g (and some say 3 feet).
Most sites that will tell you what you get are sorta useless if you don't understand how you got that result though.
So if you really want to try and learn up on genetics I would suggest the corn snake morph guide to get you some learning
0.1 Charcoal Corn, Nagini||0.0.1 King Intergrade, Ekans|| 1.0 Leopard Gecko, Havok||1.0 Pastel Mot Corn, Solstice
1.1 birds,1.1 Bettas, 0.0.5 Community fish and Inverts,1.0 Rat, 1.1 Hamster.

Re: Going to breed cornsnake
Where is this corn snake morph guide? I have looked up corn snake morphs before and only found pictures.
And thanks for all the info. Zim is over a year now and will be 2 years come this summer.
Does anyone know when the breeding season starts for corn snakes? I'll do some looking around.

Re: Going to breed cornsnake
Most Corn breeders brumate the snakes during the winter (around 50F)...Warm them back up in the Spring and let them have at...Corns are super easy - Pretty much just put them together...The offspring depends on what your breeding...Snow X Normal? That would give you double hets for Snow (Het Amels & Het Anerys)...Snow x Snow - All Snows...All depends on whos the mom and pop and what genes they are carrying...

Re: Going to breed cornsnake
300g is the minimum you'd want to try and breed a female at. A good forum with lots of info is www.cornsnakes.com. Similar to here but for corns.
As for what to breed your snow with, depends on what you want to produce really.

Re: Going to breed cornsnake
I would love to produce Blizzards but I'm not sure if Snow has any kind of genetics for that. I'll have to look it up. I'll weigh Zim tonight since its weigh our snakes night. Everyone is getting weighed. Even the mice. lol.

Re: Going to breed cornsnake
No you do not have the correct genetics for producing blizzards.
You need amel plus a charcoal (aneryB)
0.1 Charcoal Corn, Nagini||0.0.1 King Intergrade, Ekans|| 1.0 Leopard Gecko, Havok||1.0 Pastel Mot Corn, Solstice
1.1 birds,1.1 Bettas, 0.0.5 Community fish and Inverts,1.0 Rat, 1.1 Hamster.
