    Angry BP Abuse?

Hello everyone, I too am new to the world of the BP. I got my first BP about 3 weeks ago and lover her...anyway I was in a local pet store and seen another BP that has been neglected to a point that it turned my stomache. This snake had no water in its cage, was as dry as dirt with partial shed stuck all over it. It had a 100 watt "regular" light buld shining down on it with a sand substrate. There was no temp or humidity gauges in the cage with it and it looked just sick and not far from being dead. I tried to talk to the people in the store to let them know that the snake was not being properly cared for and would soon be dead if they did not change the environment it was in. I was told that the snake was fine and that was how they kept all their snakes and have had no problems.

My question is, is there someone that keeps an eye on these people and the ways that they keep their animals? Is there someone that can be notified that can do something with these kind of keepers?

    Thanks,
    Jason

Let your local ASPCA know your local animal rescue.

Although I agree with your statement, I think plain ignorance is their main problem. If they were really in it for the money, then they would try to ensure that their animals were well taken care of. Dead animals=no $$$ Just my

Yes, call the ASPCA right away they will take care of that store.
My local pet shop here got shut down for a very similar reason a year ago.
