how long can a ball last?
to those of you who shipped balls to the other side of the globe, how can a ball python last through shipment? Will they be perfectly fine if it take a week? How about on worst scenarios like a month?will they be perfectly fine as long as they're properly insulated?

Re: how long can a ball last?
They should be overnighted with a 40+ hour heat pack. If not then I wouldnt trust that my animals will be AOA. Trust what you want, but I wouldnt trust a box of dirt through the mail system for a month, let alone a $5,000.00 snake.

when your shipping a snake to the other side of the globe i would only use delta dash for the shipping. cost more but better for the long shipments.

0.1 spider ball python 1.0 het red
2.0 pastel 1.0 mojave 1.0 Lesser
1.0 het clown 0.22 normals

Re: how long can a ball last?
Why would you want to ship a snake and have it take a week, let alone a month? I had a snake stuck in a box over the weekend and I was a nervous wreck! So was he, as a matter of fact, and came out biting, and refused to eat for a couple weeks. I think after a month in a box---if it survived, which I doubt---the poor thing would be so dehydrated and stressed it would never recover, anyway.
There are a couple global shippers out there that will overnight... check 'em out. You'll spend a little more, but you'll also have a happy, healthy snake.

Re: how long can a ball last?
thanks guys for your replies, you guys are right! Why risk the life of the snake. Balls here cost an arm and a leg, bec most of them are imported. New morphs are very expensive here, a regular $99 pastel would cost $750 here what more if it is a spider? Normals costs $200 bred locally. Maybe I just hVe to wait till people breed the new morphs here so the prices will go down. I'll just have to start with normals.
