Re: home brewing?
I've wanted to for a long time. I'll get to it some day. Do you make ale or lager?

Re: home brewing?
i make all kinds, but ales are much easier becaue you can just ferment and age it at room temps. none of it is that hard at all actually... you do have to boil and siphon, which i know you dont necessarily need to do for wine making; so if you can't handle boiling water or siphoning liquid into a bucket then i guess it could be considered hard
my buddy and i are getting good enough now that we're thinking of starting a small local brewery or a brewpub. i'll post up some recipes or more info if people are interested... not too many things beat a good beer that you've crafted yourself.

Re: home brewing?
I'm definately interested. I've wanted to do it for a long time, but I'm a skunky pilsner fan, and I saw that it's a lot more work to make lager.

Re: home brewing?
Hubby has been a homebrewer for about 15 years now. I have been making wine and mead for about 8 years. Dh is VERY good at it. He is set up to make 15 gal at a time now. When he started he made it on the stove, now he grinds the grain, boils the wort on a propane burner outside, kegs or bottles it. He makes ESB's, Brown ale, pale ale, and hefe's mostly. It takes up a good part of the garage, but it is worth it.
