Pythons of the world vol. II (is it worth it)

Now i already have the complete ball python. Its a great book and i love it but its too much about the basics of ball pythons. I want in detail about breeding, morphs, more advanced reading about ball pythons than "the basics". I have gone on the web site numerous times and was ready to buy it but for 75 bucks plus shipping i keep putting it off. Is it worth it and why? I think the the barkers are amazing at what they do. I heard him talk in daytona this year and i was blown away. He will always be in my hall of fame of herpers. I will eventually buy this book but just making sure if its a good purchase or not.

Re: Pythons of the world vol. II (is it worth it)

    Absolutely yes.

Pythons of the World goes into much greater depth than The Complete Ball Python, and each book has its place. If you are looking for a quick reference guide, Pythons of the World is not for you!

It comes in hardcover and the book overall is very high quality that will last a lifetime if you don't abuse it. Well worth the $75 IMO....

Re: Pythons of the world vol. II (is it worth it)

I have a copy and I personally think it's a great book that is very well written and it has a lot of very valuable information. However, for the average pet owner with one or two snakes it might be overkill. It's a big book containing a LOT of information most of which you'll never need to know if all you're looking for is how to care for your snakes. And it is pretty pricey. But if you are REALLY REALLY interested in EVERYTHING about ball pythons, I would recommend it.

It's a lovely book. My only wish is that the color for the photo captions was darker as it's a bit hard to read...
