    Exclamation heating a stacked vivarium

Hi people, i am new here but not to the world of reptiles.
I have a trebble stack of vivariums, each viv is 3 x 2 x 2 and were supplied with 100w cermaic heat emitters and a habistat pulse proportional thermostat.
Problem is, the top viv stays at 92 - 94f which is what i want, but the bottom viv is at 110f, which is way too hot for my suriname boa arriving tomorrow.
I have put the probe in the top viv for a day and then in the bottom viv for a day and it makes no difference.
    Any ideas?

I would say use a smaller watt of CHE (Ceramic Heat Emitter).

Or add more ventilation to the warmer viv's.

What watt would you recomend? I was thinking a 60w in the midle and bottom. With the probe in the top viv,it stays at 92 - 94f,, but the bottom one is the hottest.Would putting a 60w in the middle and bottom vivs make a difference to the heat in the top viv even though its got a 100w in it? or where do you reccomend i put the probe? I mean the probe from the thermostat.

Well, I'm not too sure about stacked cages... but it sounds like 60watt should be fine. I have a 60w CHE for one of my corns (because he's closer to the ground on the 'rack') that's in a dimmer lamp and it works great. Just adjust the dial if the room temp swings. At least, you can try it and see.

gotit sorted,,got a 60w in the top 2 vivs and a 100w in the bottom, but im changing that to a 60w at the weekend.Temps are staying pretty much stable ,,middle viv is obviously a lil hotter as we all know hot air rises.
