    ways to boost cool side.

my tub is at 52-54% humidity, the warm hut is a steady 91.4, my cool side is 69. what do you suggest i do to raise that low temp. (my dad vetoed the heat lamp, he says it could start a fire.)

use a 40 watt red bulb, or a heater to bump the ambient room temp up

Either a UTH on the cool side (on a thermostat - especially if you get flexwatt which will heat over 140 degrees if not on a thermostat) or a space heater in your room.

I was going to say, space heater. A radiator-shaped oil-filled electric one works great. We use one in our bedroom (no snakes, but no heating vent either) at night and it fits the bill.

I'll second the electric oil filled radiator. I have one in the snake room I built i the garage and it works great. If my wife would let me I would probably get a couple more for the house and shut off the central heat. lol.

If you do go with a UTH/Flexwatt for the cool side make sure its hooked up to a separate themo than the warm side UTH... I, like others, piked up a 50$ oil based electric heater from walmart and it does the trick.
