    food too big

    my snake regurgitated his meal when he was almost done... what do i do?

    Clean up and leave him alone until next week and try to offer a smaller prey this time if you think this was the problem.

    I'm pretty sure it was the problem, the snakes only 18'' and I got him an adult mouse, but I got him the biggest one in the tank by far... and the snake took about an hour and a half trying to eat it. He got to the very end, near the hind legs of the mouse and just slid the mouse out of him. Then he had to re align his jaw.

    If he took that long it was definately too big. Ideally, your snakie should strike and swallow in 15-25 minutes.
