I went to feed Sophie tonight, a day late from when I usually feed, and the minute I popped her box top she struck at me! I was far enough still that she didn't get me, but dang! I ended up opening the end where her head was not present and slid the mouse in there. When I fed her her second (she is getting BIG!), I just opened and tossed, and she caught it midair.

My questions is about my other BP, Howl. He seems to get VERY excited when the blow dryer is on, and then when I put the prey in he will grab it and then leave it. When I turn the dryer back on he will get excited and look for more, when he didn't even eat the first. I got him to eat today by letting him take what I had, then taking the blow dryer outside of the bin, heating the spot the mouse was on, and he nosed the container and then reticently took the mouse that was sitting there. *sigh* Is there a better way of doing this, in your experience?

Also, I am almost out of the hopper mice, and they are both taking two in a feed, so what would I move to next? I can measure Howl in a couple days and post his max girth if that helps. I just don't want to end up dropping 70.00 on rats/mice that are too big for them to eat, or too small to last a while.
