A few quick questions about moving

My fiance and I are moving into an apartment tomorrow and we are moving all the animals last. We currently have a breeding pair of mice and I suspect the female to be pregnant. Will the move stress her out too much?

And also, I purchased a set of four Iris brand 16qt tubs with snapping tops to use to transport the ball pythons in. After the move, I want to convert them to mouse tubs if this is possible. If not, then I will keep them as spare tubs to use when cleaning cages/tubs.

Question 1 ) Can I use these tubs to house mice? There are no grooves in the tubs, only smooth.

Question 2 ) If so, how many mice can comfortably live in a 16qt?

Question 3 ) Can they be used for grow out tubs for feeders? Or vacation tubs for resting females?

For moving, I would just cover the sides of her enclosure so that she cannot see things passing by outside and be stressed. I would minimize movement to her enclosure.

I would think that a group of 1.3 would be able to live comfortably in a 16 quart. I could be horribly wrong about how big that is, but I'm guessing it's about the size of those litter pans people use for the rack set ups. I guess all you have to do then is make the lid top with the 1/4 inch hardware cloth. Good luck with the move!
