First BP Lock ever :)

I had doubts about the two for quite a while,I had the male in the females cage for about a week and they both seemed to be giving each other the 'cold shoulder' so to say and I had yet to wittness a lock . I would see the female smashing the male but since I couldnt see their tails I couldn't tell wat was going on under there., but a couple days ago I took the male out, gave him a meal and today I wake up to this.

And I guess the female at some point completed a shed which might have been what triggered everything.



The male,charlie, is a 06 100% het clown I got from Justin earlier this year. He's a bright handsom devil he is


Heres his gal Naiome, between his bright gold and her dark banded/reduced like pattern, I wonder what the babies might look like

I'm so excited, this is just the first step for breeding Bp for me, and I'm trying to learn well from this first experience. I do have a question, after they seperate should I remove him from her cage for a rest then reintroduce him ,or should I just keep him in there until I see a few more locks.

I only leave Oliver in for three days, then four days apart and repeat. Wonder if Oliver and your Charlie are from the same clutch?

did it take you any previouse trys before. i mean how many times did you have to try to get them to breed?

i think I had tried maybe twice before, but I had only left him in there for about 2 days at a time,so after a while i tried for a week cuz it seemed like i wasnt giving him enough time to figure out wat was going on.

Its Possible they could be, I remember hearing about oliver , I knew he came from justin too but dont exactly know if they're sibblings.
