With great caution I post this...I can see this organization being swamped with people who need vet care just because they don't want to pay it...
The ogranization is called IMOM.org (In Memory of Magic) and it's an organization that "will try to help any companion animal in need of non-routine veterinary care once their caretaker has been approved. "
I haven't read completely thru the site, but there is an extensive application process and a list of reasons why you might not be eligable.
If anyone is interested in checking it out you can go here: http://www.imom.org
They recently helped a woman in the Cleveland area with her dog. That's how it was brought to my attention.
Of course I believe if you can't afford the vet, you shouldn't have a pet. But I can see when an emergency arises and it maybe needed....so yeah, lol, yeah.
