    Feeding 2 mice at once?

Is it ok to feed my python 2 mice at once or 2 mice within 24 hours? Its been a little while since his last feeding because of a long shed. I would like to possibly pick up 2 mice tomorrow for him. Thanks

one should be fine unless the prey item is too small and the next size up is too big

Yes you can feed multiple items in one sitting. Wait until the snake has completely eaten the first and has yawned to realign his jaws, then offer the second.

Agreed. I feed three mice to my albino every week following the above method. Have done it w/ all my snakes until they moved up to rats or one is just a mouser and won't eat rats.

Will your BP not eat while it is in theshedding process? Mine all eat no matter what time it is. I feed mine every 5-7 days. I just fed one of my female's and her eyes are as blue as they can be.

Wouldn't feeding two mice at once be considered power feeding?

Unless they was two smaller mice?

i fed my girl two small adult mice when they stopped leaving a lump in her. she was crusing around not even four hours ( HOURS ) later so i knew she was still hungry. i only did that for 2 feedings until i used all the small mice up and got the next size for her. she was feeding every 5-6 days, now im getting her on the 1x every 6/7 days thing because shes 9 months old and her prey are larger. she's happy though.

I dont consider it power feeding if you are feeding two items, providing you are doing it because you can not get one item that is the size you need. Sometimes i have to feed my bigger girls two mice if i can not get any rats, i have not had an issue.

I dont think it is considered power feeding either. He hadnt eaten in a while so I figured he would love to take 2 mice. Its not necessarily that he wont eat when he is shedding so much as I have heard they should be left alone while shedding. Well, we already gave him the 2 mice and he handled himself like a champ! thanks for the advice.

I would say that power feeding is considered when you place a second prey item in the mouth of you snake as she is swallowing the first. Then you are considered power feeding.
