    Finally

My pastel is finally a proven breeder I'm so excited both him and my yellowbelly are breeding my big girls as I'm writing this post. The only thing is he's breeding a girl who was already with my yb twice. Do you guy's think if I only put the pastel in with her for the rest of the season I can up my odd's of the co-dom half of the clutch being pastel's?

It's not a proven breeder from breeding once. If he causes a female to ovulate and lay eggs, then he's a proven breeder.

Congrats on the breeding success though.

I thought once a male breeds a female a couple times he's a proven breeder. My pastel has locked with his female 3 times already I now have some confidence in him.

No, even a male without sperm can breed. They need to produce to be calssified as proven.
