Okay, this snake is being offered ONLY to experienced herpers. Beginners, please search elsewhere. I am very, very sorry to disappoint, but this snake is going to need a lot of love and a lot of care. Definitely not for the beginner.

This is a common Cali Kingsnake, of unknown gender. It is believed to be around 4 years old. I call it "Seth."

Here's where it gets complicated, and rather depressing. He (i'm going to call it a "he") comes from an extremely neglectful home. He is still underweight, and I have been working with him for a few months, now. I was originally going to get him and find him another home. He was given to me for free because he refused to eat for them. Finally, I got him to eat a live fuzzy rat, and he has been getting two fuzzy rats every week. He is slowly, slowly gaining back his figure. He also only eats live fuzzies. I have tried many techniques to switch him over. His new home might be more successful, but he missed a few meals trying to be switched to frozen/thawed, stunned and pre-killed. I couldn't risk it.

He also is not very tame, though he has never bit me. He has struck at other people. In his former home, he bit someone on the lip or nose (I got two different stories), supposedly.

I am located in Arizona, in between Lake Havasu City and Kingman. I would be willing to meet up with someone in reasonable driving distance.

If you think you can take this snake on, please PM me or e-mail me. I really do not have to part with him. If I feel someone might not be fit to care for him, I do have a right to tell you that you cannot have him. I'm sorry for this, but this snake is currently in the "special needs" category and he needs to be catered to. I have to make sure his new home can respect him and his needs. I'm really sorry if I sound strict. I just want him to go to a really good home.

I'm not quite sure what his adoption fee will be just yet, but if I get any responses, I'll start to consider it. I don't even want to make money off of him, but I'm so scared someone with no experience that doesn't know what they're getting into might want him, I have to charge something. I am only trying to place him in a better home, because I don't feel I have been giving him the attention and love that he needs. Otherwise, he really doesn't have to go anywhere. I was just hoping he might find somewhere better.
