Re: xpvc?
pvcx is expanded pvc and due to that the same thickness pvcx board weights less than a common pvc board.
A good place to start looking, if you want to buy online would be at San Diego Plastics (sdplastic.com) or Laird Plastic (uhm, just google that one). If you want to shop locally, I would go to a sign/graphic shop.

Yeah, just look locally. It will be expensive after shipping. Contact a sign shop; or get out your yellow pages and look up local plastics distributors. I have one near me that I found that I get all my plastic stuff from (acrylic, xpvc, etc) as they hook me up with dirt cheap prices.

Matthew's got it figured out <grins>. What the sign shop considers scrap and just wants to clean out is a treasure to me.

Re: xpvc?
I've really been looking into building a rack using the XPVC buttheplaceI'mordering from has it in like 6 different thicknesses. Does the thickness matter? And if so what is the minimum thickness it should be?

10mm or ~3/8" is what I used for all my racks. Thick enough to provide adequate support, thin enough to keep costs and weight down.
