Re: medium rats
When I was feeding Kisasa rats...I aimed for rats that were 40-60g at the very most. On the occasions when all the petstore had was something larger...if I attempted to feed that to her, I invariably got myself into trouble with refusals. She'd eat the larger rat and then refuse to eat for a few weeks afterward. Pain in the behind, let me tell you.

Re: medium rats
Based on the experiences of some who have been doing this for a very long time, they have records of snakes that fast for long periods of time with bigger meals.
In my opinion, medium rats are not necessary. Save some money and go smaller.

Re: medium rats
I never fed a medium rat to any of my BP, the largest prey I feed is 45/65 grams.
Can BP take medium rats? Yes
Do they need to? No

If you can see skin between the scales...your snake is too fat.
If you're set on feeding medium rats...then go for it. Let us know how that works out for ya in the long run.
