They are faster than my cornsnake!

I've heard of ball pythons being picky eaters or they are hesitant to feed at a young age. All four of our ball pythons are around 115g and are currently eating small mice. Yesterday was feeding day for the snakes and I noticed that all four of the ball pythons have a faster feeding response than my corn snake. Xefaud and Sadis used to be very hesitant about eating and were actually scared of their prey but now we drop in a small mouse on one side of the tub and BOOM, perfect strike. I'm expecting to have some very big snakes on my hands once these guys go up in prey size.

Oh that reminds me. They started off on hoppers and once they hit around 100g we bumped them up to small mice. Should we go ahead and start them on fully grown adult mice? What is a good size for them now?

Re: They are faster than my cornsnake!

I fed my 136g spider female a 26g mouse. He was a little on the large side I thought. But I had fed her a 23g mouse when she was only 116g's, so I knew she would be ok.

My plan is too keep feeding mice until around 500g, where I can switch to small rats. Since thats the only kind of rat they keep around here.
