    Burmese in a tub??

Right now I have my burmese in a 26 gallon tank with heat pad and 2 hides and every thing needed. She is getting to big for this very fast as I knew she would and not like I bought this cage for her. Would a 96qt sterilight under the bed tub work for her till I build the custom enclouser in Jan? I used to house my bp in and it was great just wondering if it's as good for a burmese.

For a little while it would work. Does it have locks so the snake is not able to escape?

dont know how big that is but I think a VE tub should hold for a long bit.

I wouldn't keep a snake if I wasn't able to keep it from escaping espically a burmese.

Well if it's one of those long tubs with two only two locks, one on each end, it is relatively weak in the middle. And a determined burm will exploit that weakness to the fullest.

It would be fine until Jan.-just a couple of things though. Make sure the underside of the lid doesn't have any groves or funky stuff on it that she could rub on and hurt her face, put some aspen or tons of shredded newspaper on the bottom for her to burrow to try and cut down on the rubbing and trying to escape, and last make sure to distribute weight on the top of the lid so she can't push her way out.

    Re: Burmese in a tub??

It is one of the long ones with 2 locks but I always put stuff on top of it just to be safe and then ill prolly bungee it to. I had my ball in there before but it was way to big for him and I plan to allow her to burrow and such. She has already grown 3in or so since I got her less then a month ago. I know this is just the begining and shes about to go into shed again so about to be even bigger lol.
