    My pastel and biggest girl

Had a few snakes out tonight thought id take a few pics. My male pastel and my biggest girl. No im not trying to breed them just thought it would be cool to get a few pics of them together. Hes only 350g. She is over 2400g not for sure on her weight. My scale only goes to 2400g and i get an error when trying to weigh her.

I ordered a new scale should be here sometime this week. I will get a weight on her. Thanks for looking.

Re: My pastel and biggest girl

Oh another thing, Whats everyones thoughts on using newspaper? Ive herd good and bad things about it some use unprinted some dont. Anyone know the reasons for that? Ive herd the inks can be bad for the snakes but then ive also been told its ok. The reason i ask is the tub in the pics is my feeding tub for now. Have an empty one so thought id use it. ive been thinking about changing all my tubs to newspaper. So i can stop using a feeding tub it will make feeding day alot easier. I use aspen but i dont like feeding on it. Any thoughts on this would be great thanks again.

I use newspaper, the inks are vegetable based, so perfectly safe for your snake. The reason people use un-printed is because they don't like ink on their snakes. I've got some stunning snakes that don't look so stunning after they tip their water dish and play "snake paint" in the ink. LOL

    Beautiful animals, btw!

wow what a size difference. I do have a question though. Is she ovulating? cause she kinda looks like some other pics I've seen of ovulating females. I'm trying to learn what to look for cause eventually I will breed. Either way, they both are good looking snakes.

She just ate yesterday or so. Its just the rat. She laid 7 eggs for me on 7/16/07 it was her first time. I havent had her with any male yet. Just for the pics. Im not sure if im even going to breed her this year. I was thinking about the pastel but not till later this year if i do.
